This video was prepared to mark the 30th anniversary of the development and adoption of the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics by the UNECE. The United Nations Statistical Commission adopted these principles in 1994 at the global level. These principles underpin all activities undertaken by producers of statistics at the official level: from the methods of collecting, processing and storing data to the ways in which statistical offices disseminate statistics and communicate with those who use them.
From January to June 2022 the Conference of European Statisticians is celebrating adherence to the Fundamental Principles through a series of country-led outreach campaigns, telling the story of the importance and impact of each of the Fundamental Principles on society and everyday life, and why they are important. All countries, organisations, members of the statistical community and users of statistics are invited to participate in this joint celebration.

Wideo zostało przygotowane z okazji 30-stej rocznicy opracowania i przyjęcia przez Europejską Komisję Gospodarczą ONZ Podstawowych Zasad Statystyki Oficjalnej. Komisja Statystyczna Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych przyjęła te zasady w 1994 r. na poziomie globalnym. Leżą one u podstaw wszystkich działań podejmowanych przez podmioty tworzące statystyki na szczeblu urzędowym: od metod gromadzenia, przetwarzania i przechowywania danych po sposoby rozpowszechniania statystyk przez urzędy statystyczne i komunikowania się z tymi, którzy z nich korzystają.
Od stycznia do czerwca 2022 r. Konferencja Statystyków Europejskich świętuje przestrzeganie Zasad Podstawowych poprzez serię kampanii informacyjnych organizowanych przez poszczególne kraje, opowiadających o znaczeniu i wpływie każdej z Zasad Podstawowych na społeczeństwo i życie codzienne oraz o tym, dlaczego są one ważne. Wszystkie kraje, organizacje, członkowie społeczności statystycznej i użytkownicy statystyk są zaproszeni do udziału w tym wspólnym świętowaniu.
